Apply

Because of the pilot nature of our program, a small group of select students will be invited to form the iFoundry class of 2013. All admitted students are encouraged to apply. iFoundry looks to build an entering class with students of high academic standing but equally important are intellectual curiosity, perseverance, creativity, leadership, interest in engaging with others, social awareness, and passion for learning. Students should be comfortable collaborating with faculty and peers for iFoundry projects, discussions, and classes. Admissions and notification to iFoundry are on a rolling basis prior to the May 1st deadline for notifying the University of Illinois of your intent to enroll.

Students who have received offers of admission to the College of Engineering, either in December or in February, interested in applying for iFoundry need to submit a brief form and personal statement. This brief form provides the selection committee access to your University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign 2009 Undergraduate Application for Admissions, Honors, and Scholarships. The Undergraduate Application, together with your brief statement of purpose, will form the basis for selection to join the iFoundry class of 2013. iFoundry invitations will be sent by US mail to your home address on a rolling basis, approximately four weeks from the time we receive your form. For more details, please see the timetable noted below. Participation in iFoundry does not preclude participation in any departmental honors program, the Campus Honors Program, or the James Scholars program.
