Olin-Illinois Partnership and an Alliance
Saturday, September 13, 2008
Friday, the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering and the University of Illinois signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to form the Olin-Illinois Partnership (OIP). The two institutions pledged cooperation to help transform engineering education and to form a larger grassroots Alliance for Promoting Innovation in Engineering Education (aPIE2) of likeminded schools nationally and internationally. The partnership dates back to discussions begun in September 2007 at the Workshop on the Engineer of the Future and the initial formation of iFoundry (Illinois Foundry for Innovation in Engineering Education). Read more about OIP, aPIE2, and the MOU here and here.
