Today at 10:15, Franklin W. Olin College and the University of Illinois will renew their groundbreaking partnership to work together to transform engineering education (here). The Olin-Illinois Partnership (here) was formed 12 September 2008 and in the past year the two schools have worked together on a variety of projects, including the Summit on the Engineer of the Future 2.0 and the formation of the Alliance for Promoting Engineering Education (APIE2). All iFoundry students, especially those interested in entrepreneurship, are encouraged to attend the first in a new WOW (World of Work) student development series which will feature a Networking and Initiative workshop with presentor, Cory Levy – an 18-year old entrepreneur – from 12:00-1:30pm on Friday, October 16, 2009, in NCSA Auditorium (1205 W. Clark Street). A FREE lunch will be available 11:30-12:00 and pre-registration is required(here).
