An initiative to encourage engineering educators and friends of engineering education to twitter will launch tomorrow, Monday, 19 October 2009 in San Antonio, TX at the IEEE Frontiers in Education conference.  The initiative, called Twitter for Engineering Education Transformation and Innovation (TwEETI) is sponsored by the grassroots Alliance for Promoting Innovation in Engineering Education (aPIE2.org).

More information is available here but existing twitter users can simply follow @apie2 and new twitter users can simply follow the set of instructions here.

The idea is to encourage sharing and rapid dissemination of innovations between and among different schools and programs to help speed the pace of transformation of engineering education and its alignment with the imperatives of the 21st century.
