OIP
On September, 12, 2008 the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering and the University of Illinois signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) committing the institutions to the creation of two entities:
- Olin-Illinois Partnership (OIP)
The Olin-Illinois Partnership pledges Olin and Illinois to work together to transform engineering education through exchanges, programs, and other forms of institutional cooperation. Particularly of interest are programs that demonstrate scalable innovation and reform. - Alliance for Promotion of Innovation in Engineering Education (aPIE2)
The MOU commits both organizations to the establishment of a larger Alliance of Innovation in Engineering Education (aPIE2) to bring together likeminded engineering programs interested in transformation of engineering education in a manner appropriate to the 21st century.
